The Bootstrapping Dad

Building a business while raising small kids is chaos. This newsletter is about making it work anyway.

Hi there 👋, I’m Nico, French-born generalist type of guy, father of two, living in Munich, Germany. Over the past 15 years I’ve bounced between finance, consulting, software engineering and entrepreneurship. I built and sold two companies, advised on M&A deals, invest on the side, and help grow the family business. And I'll definitely do it all over again with two kids running around.

Who should read this?

The Bootstrapping Dad is about three things: code, kids and bootstrapping. If you have small kids at home while pursuing your own entrepreneurial thing, this newsletter is for you. If only one of those three applies, you’ll probably still get something out of it.

What to expect?

  • What I’m learning shipping code in the AI era from a builder’s perspective, not a hype perspective

  • Practical stuff about bootstrapping and acquiring a small business: real numbers, real mistakes

  • How I try to keep family life from imploding while doing all of the above, and which systems actually help

Sounds like your kind of mess? Subscribe for a regular dose of real talk on building businesses and raising humans.

See you there!

Nico
